Costa Rica was written by Peskanov in San Jose, the night before the concert with Costa Rica National Symphony Orchestra. As he was preparing for performance of Rachmaninov's Second Piano Concerto, in hotel browsing the score, the sound of hypnotic rhythms from the street filled the room. Being captivated by the sound, pianist became a composer. And the next day, he performed his just conceived new work, Costa Rica, as an encore, to a very appreciative audience! Peskanov has recorded this piece in his Virtuoso Video "In Search of Sound"
